    Encampment Weekend is an annual event that allows visitors to see what life was like for a soldier during the spring of 1780 in this living history reenactment at Morristown National Historical Park. Experience Revolutionary War tactics, drill teams, and various demonstrations of camp life.

    Civil War Weekend is a reenactment of the 2nd New Jersey Brigade's involvement in the Civil War, located at Historic Speedwell. Enjoy musket and bayonet drills, camp demonstrations, and many more events that will immerse visitors in the routine of Civil War life.

    Morris County puts on various concerts all year round, but there are a good number that take place over the summer: Music Without Borders for international music, Music in the Garden which is often a mix of blues, bluegrass, and some Japanese drumming, Somerset Folk Harp Festival, and Summer Music Festival featuring the Baroque Orchestra of New Jersey.

    The Last Fling Pumpkin Sling is an annual pumpkin flinging competition where contestants build their own catapults or trebuchets and see whose can throw the furthest!

    The Folk Project
    is a non-profit group of 600 musicians and dancers who perform over 100 events for the community every year. Every sort of genre imaginable is performed and take place in the form of festivals, concerts, and dance shows. Instructional workshops are also offered.

    The New Jersey Ballet offers a 26-week season featuring some of the best works of contemporary, jazz, and classical ballet performances.

    The Paper Mill Playhouse is a 1,200 seat theatre known as the state theatre of New Jersey. The playhouse performs classic musicals and plays, often in new and different ways, and has partnered with Disney for national tours. It is also known for being the home of the New Jersey Ballet and offering "sensory friendly" shows for developmentally disabled children.
